What You'll Do... The Collections Specialist for American Pest works closely with the accounts receivable (AR) team and collaborates with other departments to ensure overdue balances from our commercial and residential customers are collected in a timely manner. This role includes making outbound phone calls to customers, running reports in PestPac, and tracking collection efforts. You'll also send notices of upcoming and past-expiring credit cards, provide outstanding customer service regarding collections issues, and work with the AR Manager to develop ways to improve collections issues.

Who You Are... So, what does it take to be successful as a Collections Specialist at American Pest? For starters, you'll have an inner drive to deliver the best service possible and satisfy every customer! You'll also have...

• Two or more years of administrative/office experience (call center experience preferred)
• Experience using MS Windows/Office and cloud-based software
• The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining customer-focused
• The ability to work well under pressure of deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to quickly learn multiple web-based software programs necessary to the essential job functions and cross-department communications
• The ability to learn and retain intermediate to advanced pest control industry knowledge through company-provided online, field, and classroom training
• Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
• The ability to be a positive, professional, upbeat, team player
• Strong follow-up skills, high attention to detail, and a desire for getting things right
• The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
• A desire to work as part of a team and to provide backup when necessary for team members
• Concern for helping people and an aptitude for making people feel important and valued
• The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• A high school diploma or equivalent
