Emergency Room Technician

Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician. Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit. To be successful, you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing the plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice. Demonstrate competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques, including (but not limited to): Basic Airway Management CPR Vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, oral and rectal temperature, respirations, and pulse oximetry Electrocardiogram Job Requirements High School Graduate (General Studies) with one of the following upon hire or completion: EMT program, Medical Assistant program, Certified Nursing Assistant program, Licensed Practical Nurse program, or one year of nursing school. High School GED (General Studies) upon hire. Certified Nursing Assistant: WA upon hire. Licensed Practical Nurse: WA upon hire. Medical Assistant Certification: WA upon hire. Registered Nursing Assistant: WA upon hire. Basic Life Support – CPR upon hire. Medical Assistant – Phlebotomist: WA within 6 months. Pay Range $26.01 – $41.81 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
