This role involves providing high-risk obstetric nursing care in an acute patient care setting, including assessment, patient education, and care coordination for antepartum and postpartum patients. The position requires delivering holistic, individualized care, fostering collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers. Job Details Certifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Education Requirements and Years of Experience: At least 2 years of experience in OB; 0 years minimum experience detailed, with a requirement of 2 years for the role Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Responsibilities include administering blood products, assisting with high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, medication management, and sterile procedures Experience with Epic electronic charting system required Patient Census: 200-300 deliveries per month with a daily census of 250-300 patients Additional operational details include adherence to Baby-Friendly protocols, support for breastfeeding, use of external and internal fetal monitoring, and participation in multidisciplinary team support services. Submission must include two recent references, and all compliance documents are due 10 days prior to starting date. RTO Policy: Max 7 days per contract; holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with specific time frames for holiday coverage.
