Accountable for all facets of Bar including, but not limited to, bar setup and breakdown, cocktail knowledge, wine knowledge, food knowledge, cocktail production, cocktail service, sanitizing and resetting the Bar, cash handling, walking food, and general bar maintenance. Participate in daily line up meetings. Engage guests and assist in beverage sales in restaurant, lounge, and bar. Assist management team in actively servicing guests. Direct dining room staff on beverage service according to Cafs specifications courteously and efficiently./ppEssential Function/ppLearn Maintain complete knowledge of:/pulliCharacteristics and description of each wine and champagne by the glass on the bar wine list./liliDesignated glassware for each cocktail./liliIndustry trends and competition./liliDining Room, Lounge, Patio, and Bar layout; table/seat/station numbers, proper table set-ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code./liliCorrect maintenance and use of equipment./liliAll menu selections available in all outlets./liliDaily/weekly management of missed punches, punch edits, and weekly gratuity management per IALW policy and Virginia law./liliIALW handbook-compliance and adherence to IALW policies/liliMaintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations; particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving./li/ululliAttend all pre-shift meetings while on property./liliBe familiar with all resort services/features and local attractions and activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry./liliMonitor guest reactions and confer frequently with service staff to ensure guest satisfaction./liliActively sell beverage to guests and enhance the overall dining experience for the guests./liliCommunicate all 86d liquors/beer to staff daily./liliEnsure the inspection and service materials and equipment for readiness of service./liliEnsure the inspection of table set-ups, check for cleanliness, neatness, and agreement to departmental standards./liliInspect all aspects of the bar/lounge environment ensuring compliance with standards of cleanliness and order/liliEnsure that the service stations are clean, organized, and stocked with designated supplies./liliMonitor that all service staff are greeting and escorting guests to their tables according to departmental procedures.
