2026-2027 Science Teacher (Full-Time; 9-12) – Providence Catholic High School, New Lenox, IL Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serves as a role model and witness to the faith community. Embraces Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Love. Teaches general science curriculum with proficiency. Implements NGSS through inquiry‑based, lab‑oriented instruction. Integrates technology into classroom instruction in a 1‑to‑1 environment. Communicates effectively and collaborates with peers. Manages classroom and collaborates with staff. Revises curriculum and aligns it to Professional Learning Standards. Assesses students using a variety of effective strategies. Qualifications State of Illinois Teaching License (Required) High School Science Teaching Endorsement (Required) High School Classroom Teaching Experience (Preferred) Certifications and Requirements (May be completed after hire) DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate Diocese of Joliet Protecting God’s Children Diocese of Joliet Fingerprinting & Background Check Work Physical/Statement of Health from Physician Salary Range Starting salary: $42,760–$47,763 (Step 1) based on experience and education.
