Coming soon to the Las Vegas Strip, Hard Rock Las Vegas will be a fully integrated luxury resort offering world-class hospitality, gaming, dining, entertainment and retail. Positioned on the 50-yard line of the Strip, the resort will feature a nearly 700 ft. guitar-shaped hotel that will change the Las Vegas skyline. The finished complex will feature over 3,700 hotel rooms, approximately 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple pools, live entertainment venues and dozens of restaurants, lounges and retail outlets. Job Summary: As a Buyer at Hard Rock Las Vegas, you’ll help acquire goods and services for our Supply Chain Casino Gaming industry by working with collaborators. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Acquiring goods and services from approved suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Guiding internal collaborators on procurement processes, providing expert advice on supplier selection and contract negotiation. Maintaining and nurturing supplier relationships, including regular communication and performance evaluations. Advising on market trends and pricing fluctuations to find opportunities for cost savings and value improvement. Reviewing inventory management to ensure efficient stock levels that meet operational needs. Maintaining accurate records of purchases, including contracts, invoices, and delivery documentation. Addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies with suppliers. Recommending improvements to procurement strategies to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining legal and ethical standards in all procurement activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Proven experience in procurement or a related field is essential. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases. Experience with inventory management and reviewing stock levels. Knowledge of the Accounts Payable department to address pricing and receiving discrepancies. Ability to successfully implement procurement strategies. Strong personal and mini-frame computer skills. Work Environment: May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke and excessive noise. The position involves both stationary and active tasks, requiring occasional transport and lifting of materials. Frequent communication, both verbal and auditory, is essential to the role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of procurement procedures, methods, and equipment. Competence in interviewing and identifying potential new vendors and suppliers. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and place orders to maintain par levels. Proficiency in data entry and using IP computer systems. Strong grasp of communication and negotiation skills, crucial for supplier management. The Company gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans.
