121 E Main St. Room 300 Van Wert, OH45891 Deputy Clerk Summary Job Responsibilities: File, docket, journalize and issue new cases. File away, retrieve and track files by name and number accurately. Calculate costs on cases and prepare cost statements. Prepare bank deposits, accept payments and balance cash drawer. Assist public in processing passport applications. Assist general public, attorneys and public offices in obtaining court case information and files. Perform routine office duties: answer phones in a courteous and helpful manner, assist customers at counter, copy, scan, type/data entry and perform other duties as requested. Experience Qualifications: Communicate effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative. Interpret policies, procedures and regulations; comprehend court rules procedures and, the Ohio Revised Code. Ability to gather and collect data. Bookkeeping experience. Ability to successfully work in an environment with frequent interruptions. Prior office experience (legal knowledge a plus) #J-18808-Ljbffr Van Wert Works
