Patient Access Representative

Patient Access Representative
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while performing various patient registration, scheduling, and admission functions to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Key Responsibilities
- Processes appointment requests for all types of outpatient appointments for new and established patients
- Obtains patient consents
- Performs registration of patients
- Completes verification of insurance prior to patient arrival for services
- Identifies uninsured patients to perform financial counseling
- Assists with completing applications for external sources
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 1 year experience in scheduling and registration
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
