Details 16-bed ICU/CCU unit within a hospital setting Patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1 Unit staffed with monitor techs, with additional tech support depending on census Uses specialized equipment including Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring Documentation completed in Meditech Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 36 hours per week required Floating required on a rotational basis with core staff 13-week assignment Requirements Active RN license (KY or compact) required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Certification Experience with central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions Strong critical thinking skills and self-motivation required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Deliver critical care nursing services within a collaborative ICU/CCU team environment Scrub dress code: any color scrubs permitted, no denim, capris, or camo prints Team environment includes a mix of experienced day and night shift staff with scheduling flexibility Unit has been recognized with a Daisy Award for a Critical Care RN and participates in community initiatives such as making blankets for hospice patients Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-721686.
