Members of our staff have opportunities to earn competitive pay and rewards, grow in their careers and become a part of a great team.The Plumbing Service Technician is responsible for all aspects to the installation, maintenance, inspection, operations and repair of the plumbing systems in residential buildings. This includes installing and repairing sinks, toilets and other plumbing fixtures, as well as appliances including dishwashers and garbage disposals.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete plumbing, drain cleaning and other related in-home, service and install calls.Serving the clients of the company by expertly servicing customers' entire plumbing system.Wear floor savers while in the client's home and maintaining a neat work area when performing a repair or scheduled service.Always explain to the client the service you are performing. Explain and show the client how the company provides superior service.Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.Re-check all plumbing repairs and installations after you've repaired or replaced it, before leaving the client's home to ensure everything is working properly and that we did indeed fix it right the first time.Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.Explain the club memberships to the client, giving them an opportunity to join. Maintain an average of converting at least 25% of non-club members and maintain a 90% renewal rate on existing club members.Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.Maintain your truck so that it is neat and clean on the inside and outside at all times. The truck is one of the best billboards that the company has. Park the truck for the maximum impact of the "billboard" when possible. Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats.Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.Be accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheetsObey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.Live the Core Values daily as a representative of The Wilson Companies.All other duties as assigned.Pay is based on individual performanceRequirementsHigh school diploma/GED required5+ years' technical and trade experienceIn-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systemsUnderstanding of the current regulations within State of Ohio CodePlumbing troubleshooting and repairMaintain a clear driving recordSelf-starter, reliable, flexibility with hoursStrong customer service skillsTech savvy and proficient in using an I-Pad and Service Titan PreferredMust pass random drug testingDesire to grow within the company and complete additional certificationsExcellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical levelAble to work both independently and as part of a teamGeneral knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe use.Physical Demands:Climbing up and down on ladders and equipmentHeavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to timeAbility to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feetOperate handheld power toolsPerform manual digging in tight areasWear personal protective equipmentAbility to work more than 40 hours per work week as neededDesired Skills and ExperienceIf you can achieve the above and you find it fun and challenging - you have just the right amount.If you want to be part of something bigger than just a job – make this career move and find exactly what you're looking for.
