This full-time, on-site contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse range of exceptional learners, with placements available in life skills, autism, or behavior classrooms based on preference and expertise. The contract spans the 2026-2027 academic year, from August 11th, 2026 through May 28th, 2027, with a steady 37.5-hour workweek.

What We're Looking For:

• Accredited bachelor’s degree
• Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) teaching certificate
• Strong understanding of classroom management, differentiation, and individualized instruction
• Prior experience working in an inclusion, behavior, life skills, autism, or medically fragile classroom is valued
• Completion of required fingerprinting through TEA before start date (unless completed recently for another Texas public school)
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a genuine passion for empowering students of all abilities

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering instruction and support in one assigned elementary school setting; roles are available in life skills, inclusion, behavior, autism, or medically fragile classrooms
• Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, nurses, and school staff to create a supportive, inclusive classroom community
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Using creative approaches and evidence-based strategies to foster engagement, progress, and social-emotional growth
• Maintaining accurate documentation and consistent communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
