About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter / Designer to support the Etch Engineering team by creating and maintaining high-quality mechanical drawings for advanced semiconductor equipment. In this role, you'll work closely with mechanical design engineers to transform 3D models into production-ready engineering documentation while supporting new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Create accurate 2D mechanical drawings from 3D CAD models using Siemens NX (UGNX).
• Update and revise engineering drawings to incorporate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Ensure drawings comply with ASME standards, GD&T requirements, and internal drafting guidelines.
• Translate engineering concepts and design intent into production-ready manufacturing drawings.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and engineering documentation integrity.
• Manage drawing updates and releases within Teamcenter and PLM environments.
• Support sustaining engineering activities and respond to engineering documentation requests.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve drawing issues and support product modifications.
• Participate in design reviews and documentation reviews to ensure quality and compliance.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter, CAD Designer, or Mechanical Designer in an engineering environment.
• 3+ years of experience creating engineering drawings from 3D mechanical models.
• Strong experience with Siemens NX (UGNX) or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Experience supporting Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes and revision-controlled documentation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles and engineering documentation standards.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ASME drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.

What Sets You Apart:

• Advanced Siemens NX (UGNX) experience.
• Experience using Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment, manufacturing, or high-tech product development environments.
• Strong understanding of revision control processes and engineering release workflows.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering designs and create manufacturable documentation.
• Experience managing multiple drawing revisions and engineering priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adopt Etch Engineering-specific standards, tools, and best practices.

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
• Overtime: May be required based on project schedules and business needs.
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
• Top Skills: Mechanical drafting/design experience, creation of drawings from 3D models, Siemens NX expertise, GD&T and ASME drawing standards, and ECO/revision control experience.
