Java Developer III (Senior)

DescriptionPosition Summary :We are seeking a mid-level Java Developer to join our Payments Technology team. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting high-volume payment origination, processing, and settlement applications that support customer and colleague-facing channels. The ideal candidate will have strong Java and microservices development experience, exposure to cloud technologies, and experience supporting mission-critical financial applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and support Java-based applications and microservices.Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.Develop and maintain REST APIs, file-processing solutions, and payment processing services.Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues involving application integrations, databases, middleware, and cloud platforms.Collaborate with business analysts, testers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Support highly available production systems and participate in on-call support rotations.Maintain technical documentation, developer standards, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding materials.Contribute to Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a Related Field3-7+ Years of Hands on Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices.Top Skills:Experience with incoming/outgoing file processing and distributed application development.Minimum 1+ year of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.Minimum 1+ year of experience working with NoSQL databases, preferably Google Cloud Bigtable, Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.1+ years of e xperience developing cloud-native applications and scalable distributed systems.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and SDLC skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred Qualifications7+ years of experience developing and deploying microservices using Spring Boot and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Bigtable and related cloud technologies.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments.Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, SOAP/XML, and API development.Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.Experience using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Zenoss, or similar platforms.3+ years of experience delivering software using Agile methodologies.Nice to HaveExperience working in a fintech, banking, or financial services environment.Knowledge of payment processing platforms and payment rails, including: ACHWire TransfersExperience with payment engines, payment hubs, or similar payment processing solutions.Understanding of payment operations, settlements, reconciliation, and transaction processing workflows.Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)YesWorkplace Type:OfficeOur Approach to Office Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
