Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 3\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring NM or compact RN license and floating to like units as needed.Details\n \n Medical Surgical unit setting\n Patient ratio of 1:6\n Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM\n 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available\n Weekend shifts required\n Floating required to like units within scope as needed\n Epic charting system experience required\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (NM or Compact) required\n BLS certification required\n 2 years of experience preferred\n Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs\n Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and oxygen administration\n Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE\n Cardiac monitoring skills including telemetry and rapid response team utilization\n Renal and orthopedic care experience including pre/post hemodialysis management and total joint replacement care\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care to a Med/Surg population including cardiac, renal, respiratory, and orthopedic cases\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as locals are not accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-754179.
