Parts ManagerLead and manage the parts counter team to support both external and internal customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and gross profit. Parts manager is also responsible for execution of process discipline required to maintain an optimized inventory.ResponsibilitiesProfitable growth through increased counter revenueFoster and maintain customer-focused environment through training, leadership and modeling of exceptional customer service. This focus to include both external and internal customersManagement of Revenue, Gross Margin Dollars, Overtime and Freight RecoveryLeadership, management and training on customer calls, both in-person and telephoneHire, train, schedule and develop counter staffConduct regular performance reviews and coachingManage counter behaviors including utilization of quote tracker, offering aftermarket parts, offering bulk discounts, offering featured products, etc.Track and manage results for inventory related KPI's as defined by management (Base Camp)Provide oversight and supervision of invoices coded by their departmentProcessing and tracking vendor core returns and credits and schedule reconciliationSchedule reconciliation for DIA returns and local vendor returnsEnforcement of margin discipline. Escalate pricing concerns as neededResolve escalated customer issuesEnsure compliance with safety and environmental policiesRetail Merchandising AreaQualificationsHigh School graduate or equivalentAssociate degree or equivalent Automotive / Diesel technology industry experience3 years of truck/automotive dealership experienceStrong background on in-person and telephone-based customer serviceDemonstrated leadership and management abilitySufficient product knowledge to be able to train and lead counter people selling medium and heavy duty truck partsStrong leadership and people management skillsStrong customer service and relationship-building skills (internal and external)Problem-solving and decision-making skills under time pressureAbility to prioritize and manage multiple demands (service, retail counter, fleet room)Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbout Lakeside International TrucksTransportation is more than just an industry, it's the engine of our economy.
