Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

The focus of this position is to develop, implement, and improve the processes of the factory. As the link between design engineering and the production floor you provide the manufacturing expertise needed to implement the production of new products as well as processing changes to existing products. This position is responsible for maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughout. Manages the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes that affect online balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.Lead the development of Operation Method Standards (i.e. how best to assemble products)Uses advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processesTroubleshoot production line problemsLead initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costsLead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, tooling and part flowCapital equipment justificationWork to advance safety and ergonomic practicesWhat they are looking forBS Engineering, a Master’s would be great5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operationProficient computer skills including CAD (Pro-E / Creo would be great), Word, Excel, and AccessKnowledge of Lean / Six SigmaIdeally, prior experience establishing in assembly line from concept into production
