Tax Director
Abacus Group
Our client is a real estate investment group. They seek a Tax Director to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the preparation of partnership, corporate, trust, and individual tax returns in collaboration with senior leadership
- Advise on individual tax strategies and estate planning initiatives
- Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support business planning and decision-making
- Issue accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
- Administer regulatory reporting requirements and coordinate annual audit activities
- Execute month-end and year-end close processes, including account and cash reconciliations
- Monitor the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, controls, and reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting obligations, tax filings, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 5-10 years of real estate partnership tax experience
- Ideally, broad experience including S corps, C corps, trusts, and individual tax
