Pharmacy Floor Technician

Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist. Pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas, including prepack racks, according to prescription requirements. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to verify accuracy before final pharmacist review. Alert the pharmacist on duty to any medication or product that does not scan properly or appears incorrect. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them in accordance with established procedures. Prepack frequently ordered medications, label them, and store them appropriately during low-volume periods. Package materials and products manually following standard operating procedures. Maintain designated workstation areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Replenish stock and supplies at assigned workstations to ensure continuous workflow. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected to support business needs. Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.

Active pharmacy technician license issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy. National Certified Pharmacy Technician credential. High school diploma or GED. Strong pharmacy fulfillment experience, including filling and data entry. Proficiency with computer systems and data entry to maintain accuracy of prescription records. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to follow instructions and process orders correctly. Ability to stand for long periods of time during shifts. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely. Ability to work at a moderate speed while handling high-volume prescription orders. Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

This role operates in a high-volume pharmacy fulfillment setting that requires extended periods of standing and frequent movement between shelving, medication storage areas, and workstations.

2nd Shift: 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with every other weekend shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The position includes a shift differential added to the base pay rate. Team members work with computer systems, scanners, blister card packaging, and manual packaging stations while following established safety, attendance, and dress code policies. The environment emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and strict adherence to privacy and regulatory standards. Pay: $20-23/hr +10% Shift Differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, IL. The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr.
