About This Role The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides direct care to patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare team. Highlights Location: North Bergen, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Night shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team. Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner. Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments. Requirements Education BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire. Experience Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
