Location and Schedule Remote Position – training may be required in Traverse City, MI. Schedule: 32 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM. Job Description This position manages referrals both into and out of the clinic, including prior authorizations, medical records, and other communication. Efficiently calls patients and schedules appointments, verifies insurance, and demographics. This role requires superior customer‑relationship skills and the proven ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing with all levels. The ideal candidate can operate under frequently stressful conditions due to constantly changing requirements of healthcare and is able to adapt by embracing and supporting change as necessary to obtain operational and performance efficiencies. Qualifications Associate degree in health‑services administration or related field; and at least three (3) years’ experience in related field with advancing experience. In lieu of an associate degree, candidate must have 5 years of experience in health care. Knowledge of MHC’s automated information systems, such as Cerner, PWS, Microsoft products, and Order Checker, preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products is highly preferred. Additional Information Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab‑confirmed immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
