Accounting Services Associate (Staff Accountant)

As an Associate in Accounting Services, you will play an important role in supporting client engagements, developing technical accounting skills, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. We are seeking an Associate to join our Accounting Services team to: Assist in the preparation of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards. Participate in client engagements, completing assigned work with attention to detail and quality. Perform self-review of work to identify and correct errors prior to submission. Support the preparation of payroll and sales tax returns (payroll processing). Develop proficiency in firm software and accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online Communicate regularly with team members regarding progress, questions, and workload capacity. Manage assigned tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables. Work collaboratively with team members to foster a positive and professional team environment. Build and maintain strong relationships with peers and client personnel. Communicate clearly and professionally through written and verbal communication. Seek guidance when needed and remain open to feedback to support development. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, demonstrating accountability and reliability. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to build technical and soft skills. Develop an understanding of client needs and how the firm delivers value. Support firm initiatives, marketing efforts, and relationship-building activities. Participate in community, professional, or networking events to begin building a professional network. Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance client service delivery. Preferred Experience/Background/Skills: Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping concepts Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective time management and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or the ability to quickly learn and use new accounting systems Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, equivalent experience, or in progress 0–2 years of relevant accounting or internship experience preferred What You’ll Love About Working Here: A collaborative, people-first culture where your contributions are valued.
