Accounting Associate

A growing and fast‑paced organization is seeking an Accounting Associate to support general ledger activities, month‑end close, and core accounting operations. This role offers exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement in a dynamic environment and requires on‑site full‑time in the SaintLouis, MO area. Responsibilities Maintain general ledger and record daily financial transactions, including AP, cash activity, and journal entries Support month‑end close, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting Perform daily reconciliation of trading positions and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor onboarding, coding, and 1099 reporting Partner with external accounting providers (fund administrators) on close activities Assist with audit preparation and provide support during external audits Review employee expense reimbursements for policy compliance Execute cash transfers and support treasury activities Assist with internal compliance reviews and documentation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 0‑2 years of accounting or finance experience (internship experience acceptable) Understanding of GAAP principles Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Benefits We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees.
