Regional Sales Specialist, Uro-Oncology - South Central

Role Overview Uro‑Oncology Regional Sales Specialist responsible for promoting and selling Ferring’s intravesical gene therapy for bladder cancer to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics. The position requires frequent travel (25‑50%) within a multi‑state territory and does not require relocation. Responsibilities Cover a multi‑state region, engaging with HCPs, institutions, and centers of excellence to educate and support delivery of gene therapy solutions for urologic conditions. Promote and sell Ferring Uro‑Oncology products to attain or exceed established sales quotas. Adapt quickly to the dynamics of geographic territory assignments and a range of customer types. Maintain regular contact with present and prospective customers. Prepare and submit timely, accurate reports and business reviews to leadership and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including market access, key account management, and sales leadership—to advance the business. Conduct regular field days and follow through on developmental opportunities based on results. Identify and pursue new opportunities for customer education and contribute operational or business needs. Monitor and manage expenses and budgets. Represent Ferring at professional industry meetings and seminars. Create structured mentoring projects in marketing, market access, and operations to support the brand’s success. Expand skills and lead core projects as part of the franchise team. Progress toward future functional roles as opportunities arise. Requirements Bachelor’s degree. Minimum four years in buy‑and‑bill medical or pharmaceutical sales. Experience in oncology and/or urology strongly desired. Proven buy‑and‑bill experience required. Bladder cancer experience preferred. Business‑to‑business sales experience preferable. Strong problem‑solving and business acumen with a sense of urgency. Ability to meet or exceed sales objectives. Skill in identifying potential customers and expanding the customer base. Capability to increase demand from existing customers. Business acumen regarding payer mix and practice dynamics. Ability to meet expense‑management requirements. Capability to meet demand‑generation goals. Microsoft Office proficiency. Physical Requirements Sitting 3‑4 hours at a time while driving or as a passenger, up to 60% of the time depending on territory. Walking up to 15% of the time, depending on territory. Climbing stairs or ramps may be required in certain urban territories. Standing more than 1‑2 hours at a time. Lifting, carrying, or pulling items up to 20 pounds into or out of transportation and medical facilities. Long‑distance travel by airplane or commercial conveyance approximately 2‑3 times per year, possibly more often. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $120,000‑$170,000, plus sales commissions based on performance. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑ and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, tuition reimbursement, 40 hours of annual front‑loaded sick time, vacation accruals (112.5‑150 hours in first four years, increasing thereafter), 12‑13 paid holidays, and paid parental leave (subject to minimum employment). The role offers flexible benefits and learning opportunities. Location & Travel Parsippany, New Jersey. Duties include travel to Texas, New Mexico, Memphis (TN), Little Rock (AR), and Tucson (AZ).
