Precision Grinder Opportunity

Do you have experience in manual grinding and enjoy hands-on precision work? This direct-hire opportunity is with a well-known Aerospace and Electronics company that specializes in critical systems and services for commercial aircraft, defense applications, and space systems.

They are an established yet growing company working on exciting projects like components for the James Webb Telescope, Mars Rover, and DART mission, as well as electric aircraft systems. These are parts that make history — and you can play a role in producing them as a Precision Grinder.

Precision Grinder Duties:

• Set up, operate, and adjust grinding, honing, or related machines according to blueprints and product specifications.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials; position and secure workpieces manually using clamps or chucks.
• Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments (micrometers, gauges, etc.) to maintain tolerances of +/-.001 to.00002 on I.D. and O.D. dimensions.
• Monitor machine operations, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality output.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Schedule:

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Pay:

• Level I: $27/hr. - $35/hr.
• Level II: $35/hr. - $45/hr.
• Level III: $40/hr. - $50/hr.

Precision Grinder Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Outside Diameter (OD) grind machining
• Hands-on precision grinding experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Skilled in cylindrical, centerless, and ID/OD grinding operations
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations due to access to controlled data
