Martech Product Owner (Salsify)

We are seeking a MarTech Product Owner to serve as the IT owner for a portfolio of marketing technology applications, with a primary focus on Salsify . This position is ideal for someone who combines Product Owner/Business Analyst experience with hands-on application administration and enjoys working directly with business stakeholders.

The successful candidate will partner closely with application business owners to understand priorities, gather requirements, manage enhancements, and determine how IT will execute against business needs. This is not a traditional documentation-heavy Business Analyst position;
the role requires someone comfortable taking hands-on ownership of applications and driving work through delivery.

Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience is required.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Contract: 3+ Months, with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the business-facing IT Product Owner for Salsify and other MarTech applications, including Bynder and Clarity.
• Perform hands-on application administration, including configuration, user access, permissions, and ongoing application support.
• Partner directly with business owners to understand requests, enhancements, priorities, and application needs.
• Gather and translate business requirements into actionable IT solutions.
• Determine the appropriate IT execution approach for application enhancements and initiatives.
• Communicate expected timelines, dependencies, and how new requests may impact existing planned work.
• Support and enhance Salsify product information management and syndication processes .
• Help ensure accurate and efficient syndication of product information from Salsify to retailer and e-commerce platforms.
• Facilitate recurring meetings with business owners and provide updates on initiatives, enhancements, and outstanding requests.
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and application owners.
• Take feedback constructively and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a MarTech Business Analyst, IT Product Owner, Associate/Junior Product Owner, or similar role .
• Strong, hands-on Salsify administration experience .
• Experience supporting product information syndication from Salsify to retailer or e-commerce platforms.
• Hands-on application administration experience, including configuration and user access management.
• Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills.
• Experience partnering directly with business application owners and translating their needs into IT solutions.
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience is required.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing requests and clearly communicate priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting approach based on business and team needs.
