Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our student support services team, the School Psychologist will play a pivotal role in promoting the academic achievement, social‑emotional development, and mental well‑being of our students. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation, along with a deep commitment to serving the needs of all learners. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning. Collaborate with educators, parents, and community stakeholders to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with diverse needs. Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic interventions to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Facilitate student support team meetings and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration to develop effective intervention strategies and support plans. Serve as a resource to school staff regarding best practices in behavior management, social‑emotional learning, and mental health promotion. Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives aimed at creating a positive and inclusive school climate. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data. Qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program. Valid certification/license as a School Psychologist (PSY) in the state of Maryland. Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or educational setting preferred. Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools, intervention strategies, and educational laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
