Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing established assessments alongside observational methods. Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication abilities, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing performance. Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to cultivate cohesive care strategies. Provide essential education to patients and family members to support progression outside the therapy environment. Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout each patient's journey. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory standards. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continued education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies for various age groups, paired with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
