Office Manager

Job Description We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Office Manager to join our elite team in Auburn, Alabama. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Key Responsibilities Calculate & input driver & staff payroll into system for processing, transmits payroll, verify paychecks, monitor overtime, ensures payroll procedures are always followed. Provide support by responding to questions and concerns regarding payroll, personnel records, and employee profiles, to include answering telephone and company email correspondence. Drive routes periodically. Manage driver & staff payroll and leaves of absence, including employee FMLA & Workers Comp tracking. Maintain personal data, confidentiality of sensitive employee information and records. Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws (WO9). Educate employees on benefits provided. Prepares and submits all hourly employee HRIS profile and EAF employee change forms, to include new hire, hourly rate changes, and terminations. Performs daily input and reconciliation of hourly employee vacation and sick leave accrual and usage. Responsible for charters reconciliation. Assist General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce and eliminate unnecessary and/or additional punch hours. Answer the phone/email and respond to employee inquiries. Special administrative projects and additional duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment. 1-3 years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent oral, verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees of all levels. Problem solving and analytical abilities. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Ability to input data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy, to make difficult mathematical computations with and without mechanical assistance (ability to operate a calculator by touch). Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to: 90% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities. 10% of work is accomplished outdoors. Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and repetitive hand- wrist-eye and finger motion, and extensive computer work. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Limited light lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
