Medical Assistant II

We are seeking a Medical Assistant II to provide both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare setting. As the first point of contact for patients, this role is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, supporting physicians and nurses, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations. This position requires a bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Clinical Support

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Obtain and document patient histories, symptoms, and health information
• Measure and record vital signs
• Administer injections and medications as permitted by certification and state regulations
• Perform diagnostic tests and screenings
• Collect specimens and perform blood draws/phlebotomy procedures
• Sterilize and maintain medical equipment
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms
• Accurately document patient information within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support quality patient care

Administrative Support

• Assist with patient scheduling and clinic workflow
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook and other office systems to support daily operations
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and patient privacy requirements
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and families

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience in back-office direct patient care
• Active Medical Assistant certification or applicable state licensure (RMA/CMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Less than 2 years of professional leadership experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to successfully complete required Tuberculosis (TB) screening
• Passion for improving patient experiences and quality of care

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on professional phlebotomy experience
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Experience with HEDIS measures and quality initiatives
• Active certification through organizations such as:
• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
• American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• Active ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification/license
