Payroll Specialist - About the Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization and play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. This position is responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, auditing timekeeping data, resolving payroll discrepancies, and providing exceptional support to employees and management regarding payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while delivering accurate results in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities ies Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll accurately and within established deadli nes.Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company polic ies.Audit timesheets, pay rates, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and other payroll-related transacti ons.Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and employee payroll questions in a timely and professional man ner.Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, tax updates, garnishments, and benefit deducti ons.Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for management and internal aud its.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulati ons.Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and supervisors to ensure accurate employee data and payroll process ing.Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and payroll reconciliati ons.Support payroll process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, accuracy, and complia nce.Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll and personnel informat ion.Participate in company safety and compliance initiatives while supporting organizational policies and procedu Qualifications tions 2+ years of payroll processing experience pref erred.Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage and hour compl iance.Experience with payroll software and HRIS sy stems.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving s kills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple prior ities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mi ndset.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discr What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys solving problems.
