Project Manager / Estimator

Estimator / Project Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Greenville, SC area. Our client is seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to bid projects and carry awarded work through delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

Prepare estimates and proposals for steel and metals projects
Manage awarded projects from contract through closeout
Serve as the main contact for customers on bids and active projects
Coordinate detailing, fabrication, and installation schedules
Track project costs, change orders, and billings

Position Essential Job Functions:

Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing
Review contracts, specifications, and drawings
Submit and track RFIs and submittals
Coordinate with the shop and field on production and deliveries
Report bid and project status to leadership

Position Skills:

3+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in steel, metals, or PEMB
Strong ability to read construction drawings
Experience with estimating and project management software
Strong organizational and customer communication skills
Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
