Security Guard

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Static Security Guard, both armed and unarmed, to safeguard our premises and ensure a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. This role involves maintaining constant vigilance through surveillance, access control, and conflict management to prevent theft, vandalism, reporting writing/Logs and other security threats. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies. Duties Monitor designated areas using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance patrols to identify suspicious activity or security breaches. Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry. Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including potential security breaches or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Conduct thorough inspections of personnel and property to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access. Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense scenarios. Maintain detailed logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols for reporting purposes. Enforce loss prevention policies by observing for suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; candidates should be prepared to respond effectively in medical emergencies. Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems; familiarity with loss prevention techniques is advantageous. Excellent conflict management & De-escalation abilities with a calm demeanor under pressure. Knowledge of security procedures, including access control protocols and emergency response procedures. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods while maintaining focus on surveillance duties. Valid certifications as required by local laws for armed security personnel. The following will be needed to be able to apply: Illinois For Unarmed Security PERC card, Valid DL and at least 1 year experience in Static Security. (Armed Security) Illinois PERC, 40 Hours Armed Security training certificate with range qualification certification for the year and valid FOID and CCL License.
