Job Summary: Provides clerical support for the Referral Office.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Effective customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high volume work environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff members.
• Ability to use a computer. Proficient keyboarding skills.

Essential Functions:

• Provide clerical support for the Referral Department
• Process letter daily to providers and patients.
• Answer phones for the referral department.
• Fax or mail medical records to the specialist in a timely manner
• Input referral information into computer & insurance databases with speed and accuracy.
• Update patient information in the computer system.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality.
