Machine Operator- 2nd Shift

Do you have experience working in a manufacturing environment and want to put your machine operating skills to work? Are you familiar with blueprints, setting up machines for operation, assembly of components and comfortable using calipers and guages? We are hiring for a manufacturing client located in La Grange, NC. You must be a US Citizen, can pass a national background check and a lab drug test 

salary: $17.35 - $17.36 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 3 PM - 11:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines and assemble components to produce quality parts based on pre-determined specifications

In this Function You Will Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces Set up, start, and observe machine operations, and troubleshoot or adjust as required Operate a variety of machines and assemble components Complete changeovers or material feedthrough Complete first piece inspections and machine guarding checklists Use gauges and calipers to inspect and verify conformance of finished workpieces Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Must have a high school diploma or GED

Preferred Skills:

Previous manufacturing experience

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 35lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends

Skills

• Machine Operation (2 years of experience is preferred)
• Manufacturing (1 year of experience is required)
• Blueprint Reading (1 year of experience is preferred)
