Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation, order entry, and patient management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications as required throughout the assignment
• Be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) based on departmental needs and staff rotation
• In the event of an emergency or disaster, may be assigned to an Emergency Team and expected to remain at the facility or serve as part of a relief team until the event has passed

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility) — local travelers are not accepted
• First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for at least 1 full year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience working in high-acuity or Level I/II trauma emergency environments
