Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting advanced semiconductor test and burn-in applications. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with customers, sales teams, and global engineering partners to design highly specialized mechanical solutions used in semiconductor manufacturing and testing environments.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical design expertise with customer-facing technical support experience and enjoys working on complex engineering challenges from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and modify precision mechanical components and assemblies used in semiconductor test applications.
• Create, revise, and approve engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD tools to develop mechanical designs and product improvements.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and manufacturing partners.
• Troubleshoot product performance issues and develop corrective action solutions.
• Evaluate new components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Perform product testing, measurements, and engineering analysis.
• Collaborate with domestic and international engineering teams on product development initiatives.
• Present technical solutions to customers and participate in industry events when needed.

Desired Background

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD-based design environments.
• Experience designing precision mechanical components or assemblies.
• Ability to interface directly with customers and provide technical recommendations.
• Familiarity with product testing, root cause analysis, and quality improvement processes.

• Semiconductor burn-in sockets.
