Clinical Research Associate Manager (Remote)

Merck seeks a Clinical Research Associate Manager to oversee a team of 6-14 clinical research associates and ensure strong trial monitoring across Vaccine/Infectious Disease and Cardiovascular programs. The position reports to the Clinical Research Director and focuses on team development, site performance, regulatory compliance, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage team of 6-14 CRAs including work allocation, career development, and performance appraisal
• Support CRA continuous development through training, mentoring, and addressing performance issues
• Contribute to capacity planning and resource forecasting to ensure efficient resource allocation
• Resolve site and CRA operational issues in coordination with study Clinical Research Managers
• Ensure consistency of processes and protocol implementation across country to reduce variability

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years clinical research experience
• Minimum 3 years experience as CRA monitoring clinical trials
• Bachelor's degree in science
• Fluent in local language and business proficient in English
• Advanced knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and Good Documentation Practices
• Proven line management or team leader experience
• Expert-level working knowledge of core trial management systems and tools
