Staff Accountant OpportunityWe're partnering with a well-established accounting firm seeking a Staff Accountant who can independently manage client work, oversee staff, and step in as a key extension of firm leadership. If you enjoy variety, responsibility, and direct client exposure—and you don't need your hand held—this role is worth a closer look.What You'll Be DoingTake ownership of assigned client engagements from planning through completionManage general ledger work, financial statements, payroll filings, and related accounting deliverablesServe as a go-to accounting resource for clients, including guidance on bookkeeping systems and questionsReview work prepared by associates and provide coaching on technical and procedural mattersSupport staff development by answering questions, offering feedback, and modeling best practicesMonitor engagement timelines and proactively communicate risks or delaysApply accounting and tax guidance to client-specific situationsResearch accounting and tax issues and translate findings into practical solutionsStay current on regulatory changes and assess impact on client accountsStep in on special projects such as projections, cash flow analysis, and one-off client requestsSupport audit engagements when assigned, including planning and supervisionActively contribute to firm efficiency by taking initiative and reducing partner/manager workloadRemain open to onboarding new clients as the firm continues to growWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience in public accounting or equivalent client-facing accounting environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (minimum 30 accounting units)CPA active or in progress (strongly preferred)Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingComfortable supervising and reviewing staff workExperience with accounting software (QuickBooks and similar platforms preferred)Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple deadlinesProfessional communicator with a service-oriented mindsetIf you're an accounting professional in the Chino area looking for ownership, client interaction, and long-term growth, let's connect.
