This position plays a critical role in providing quality service to customers, encouraging team morale and performance, while maintaining a positive culture within the location. This position has various responsibilities of overseeing the receipt, sortation, and outbound transportation for the distribution of retail related equipment and other miscellaneous goods. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse Organize schedules for team members to ensure proper staffing is on all shifts Hire and train new warehouse team members Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive Manage the discipline and termination of team members as needed in accordance with the company policy Oversee safety across facility campus inclusive of team members, visitors, and suppliers Manage performance on safe transportation, distribution, and maintenance operations Lead transportation and warehouse team to deliver high levels of service and cost-effective practices Setup warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational and safety policies and procedures Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security Experience recruiting and contracting 1099 Independent Contractors Plan work rotations, assign tasks to team members appropriately, and appraise results Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate team members Produce reports and statistics regularly Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location.
