Full-Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist
Full-Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist role in a Northern California community. Performs complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Requires a California CLS license and strong technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood bank
Analyze, interpret, and report accurate laboratory results in a timely manner
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Perform quality control procedures and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations
Troubleshoot equipment and testing inconsistencies
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding lab results
Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related life science field
Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License required
Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
ASCP (MLS) Certification preferred
Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred
