Business Systems Analyst

Title: Business Systems Analyst Location: Baltimore, MD Duration: 12 months Compensation: $40-$45/ hour W2 Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Overview We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to analyze complex business and data requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and support strategic initiatives that drive business value. You will participate throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, documented, and successfully delivered. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly analytical, and experienced in translating business needs into effective technical solutions. Responsibilities Define, analyze, and translate business needs into requirements for new and enhanced products, services, and optimized business processes. Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather, document, and validate functional and data requirements. Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure business requirements are understood, documented, tested, and successfully implemented. Analyze complex data, systems, applications, platforms, and services to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency. Support solution design, testing, and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery of business objectives. Facilitate communication among stakeholders and serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, applications, architectures, platforms, and services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing system requirements and specifications, including testing concepts and SDLC methodologies such as Agile Scrum and Waterfall. Experience using Visio for process modeling and documentation. Hands‑on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, AutoSys, SQL DB Visualizer, Snowflake, AWS S3, and database concepts related to DB2 and Oracle. Experience supporting migrations of on‑premises legacy systems to cloud‑based architectures. 2+ years of experience developing and implementing test strategies and supporting quality assurance activities. Proficiency with data analysis tools and technologies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
