Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Eufaula, AL working in a home health setting. Provide skilled, patient-centered occupational therapy services to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living and functional skills while supporting care in patients' homes.

Minimum Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Alabama Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable public transportation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience providing occupational therapy in home health or comparable outpatient/home-based settings preferred.
• Ability to complete patient evaluations and develop OT plan of care in accordance with state guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with home health documentation and progress note completion per agency policy.
• Familiarity with evaluating functional status, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Comfort working in diverse home environments and instructing patients and caregivers on plan of care and functional goals.
• Experience with mileage reporting and travel between patient visits.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
• Mileage reimbursement provided between visits, from first patient to last patient.
• Coverage area: Eufaula, AL.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide thorough evaluations, develop individualized OT plans of care, document progress notes per policy, and communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or physician. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on functional limitations and progress toward goals. Deliver services in accordance with state practice laws and within the plan of care while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members.
