Senior Tax Advisor – Proactive Strategist

Location: Boca Raton, FL with hybrid/remote options
About the Role
- MAAP is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys both the technical side of tax compliance and the opportunity to provide proactive tax planning and business guidance to clients.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing complex returns, mentoring staff, managing client relationships, and identifying opportunities to help clients improve their tax and financial outcomes.
- This is primarily a tax leadership role with meaningful opportunities to participate in tax planning and advisory engagements.
Major Responsibilities
- Review and prepare complex Forms 1120S, 1120, 1065, 1040, 1041, 709, 990
- Lead tax review and quality control.
- Deliver proactive tax planning, projections, and strategic tax advice.
- Identify opportunities involving entity structure, owner compensation, distributions, deductions, and multi-state taxation.
- Translate tax results into business insights and recommendations.
- Mentor and supervise staff, including outsourced team members.
- Manage workflow, deadlines, IRS notices, and client tax issues.
- Serve as a client-facing advisor to business owners.
