Accent Electrical Services is a commercial electrical contractor with projects located throughout the Denver Metro Area. We are looking for a motivated individual that is new to the electrical trade, to join our team!Scope of Work:The electrical apprentice is responsible for installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial industryAll apprentices are encouraged to attend school. Accent Electrical Services is affiliated with Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) and recommends this school for your Apprenticeship TrainingResponsibilities:Wear personal protective equipment at all timesAssist electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of a journeyman electrician or foremanKeep all tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and the work area clean at all timesJob requires employee to have required personal tools with them at all timesUse small toolsAssist in wire pullsMount EquipmentInstall conduitWork off of ladders, lifts and elevated platformsIdentify electrical parts and componentsSet up and breakdown tools, work benches, and worktables for hydraulic bending and threading equipmentHandle materials required for the jobInstall raceways, pull wire and mount equipmentAssemble and install small electrical parts & piecesTrim outlets, recessed cans and other repetitive finish workDig trenches/holes as neededPerform duties assigned by electrician or foremanQualifications/Skills Required:Be at least 18 years of agePass drug screenPossess basic understanding of the electrical industryHave a proactive approach to problem solvingPunctual, motivated and detail orientedPossess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a diverse fast-paced environmentWilling to travel as neededHigh School Diploma/GED required for schoolingPhysical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over headAbility to perform duties in extreme varying temperatures, e.g. exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditionsLift 51 lbs up to 150 lbs with help including work carts, benders, wire, busrails and fixtures. Must be able to lift from ground to overhead and overhead to groundConstantly moving on your feetClimb/work from all type ladders (Step ladders up to a 14' "A" frame and all size extension ladders.) Carry and relocate extension ladders up to 20' and step ladders up to 12' by one's self (personal weight with tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder Class 1 – 250lbs, Class 1A – 300lbs)Perform work at various heights, up to 50' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areasWork in restricted areas, switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics and vaults.
