Principal Technical Program Manager

GE HealthCare seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead technical program management organization and strategic portfolio execution across digital, cloud, and AI initiatives in a highly regulated healthcare environment. The role involves establishing governance frameworks, driving cross-functional program alignment, managing risks and dependencies, and providing executive leadership on portfolio health and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performing TPM organization supporting complex cross-functional programs and shared services
- Drive portfolio planning and execution across products, services, and business segments with strategic alignment
- Establish governance mechanisms and operating frameworks to improve execution visibility and accountability
- Manage portfolio-level risks, dependencies, releases, and escalations across the organization
- Deliver executive-level reporting on portfolio health, key risks, and business outcomes to senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Program Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years program or portfolio management experience; 5+ years leading TPM teams
- Proven people-leadership experience building and coaching program management teams
- Strong understanding of SDLC, AI Development Lifecycle, cloud platforms, and agile methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional programs in matrixed global environments
- Experience with enterprise planning tools such as Aha!, Smartsheet, Rally, Jira, or Jama
- Healthcare technology or medical device industry experience preferred; knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality systems
