Maintenance Tech I

North American Forgemasters has an immediate need for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. This full‑time hourly position is located in New Castle, PA and will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. Applicants ideally will have a strong background in heavy industrial maintenance. Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition per the housekeeping policy. Complete all daily duties including crane and mobile equipment preventive maintenance inspections. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems to determine and correct root cause. Weld and repair mobile equipment. Troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment (all nature of repairs, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil, and complete combustion systems). Have strong knowledge in power distribution and motor control with the ability to make repairs on 480 V systems. Provide coverage as needed for other maintenance technicians. Work on rotating shifts with required overtime. Perform work in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Abide by all policies and procedures established by the company. Perform other duties as deemed necessary. What You’ll Need A high school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1‑3 years heavy industrial work experience. Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical experience (preferred). General computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work as a team player as well as independently. Knowledge of operating overhead cranes and fork trucks. A clean criminal background investigation. A clean urine and hair follicle drug screening performed upon offer of employment.
