divh2Medical Assistant/h2pThe Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled individual that works in a healthcare setting to support the non-clinical and clinical functions of the service area. Functions within the Medical Assistant scope of practice and under the direction and continuous supervision of a licensed healthcare provider during performance of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks. Reports to department leadership./ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities/h3ulliProvides safe and effective delivery of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks within the Medical Assistant scope of practice only and under the direction and continuous supervision of a licensed health care provider./liliProvides appropriate clinical and non-clinical information to facilitate visit process./liliMaintains sterility and cleanliness of the environment./liliMaintains supplies, equipment and instruments./liliSupports and performs clerical functions as needed./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulh3Licenses And/Or Certifications/h3ulliCurrent registration/certification as a Medical Assistant, higher level clinical certification (LPN, RN, or higher), or military medical experience preferred./liliCPR training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire./li/ulh3Minimum Education And Experience Requirements/h3ulliGraduate of an approved accredited allied health program or clinical program./liliOne to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred./liliMust provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing./li/ulh3Working Conditions/h3ulliExpected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected./li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliClick here to view physical requirements./li/ulpMonday - Friday 8am - 4:30p.
