Empower Communication and Connection in the Vibrant City of Brotherly Love Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine if your next professional adventure could breathe new life into communication, fostering understanding and connection. As a Speech Language Pathologist in Philadelphia, the historic cradle of American independence, your role transcends traditional therapy. You'll be on the frontline of enabling individuals to express themselves, to reconnect with their identities, and to navigate the nuances of human interaction from enthusiastic children articulating their dreams to resilient seniors reclaiming their voices.
This position offers a remarkable chance to impact a diverse demographic in a dynamic setting merging outpatient therapy with the occasional inpatient services. Regardless of whether your passion lies in nurturing the language skills of children, navigating the complexities of adult aphasia, or facilitating cognitive recovery in older adults, here you will discover both satisfaction and flexibility in your practice.
Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatrics, adults, and seniors utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational techniques.
Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop cohesive care plans.
Deliver education and resources to patients and families to ensure continued progress outside of clinical settings.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to guarantee a seamless treatment experience.
Keep precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational requirements.
Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to remain current in this ever-evolving field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still in pursuit of ASHA certification.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based interventions across demographics, supported by a profound understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to modify therapy approaches to respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Competitive compensation based on experience.
Flexible working hours to support work-life harmony and varied patient cases.
Opportunity to focus on specialties in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO), along with holiday pay.
Variety of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
Collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to exceptional care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you will be more than a therapist; you will become an integral part of a mission dedicated to rejuvenating voices, enhancing communication, and igniting happiness through authentic human experiences. You'll join colleagues who treat each other like family in an environment that celebrates collaboration instead of competition. Each patient has a narrative; your expertise will help them find their voice in telling it.
The cultural vibrancy of Philadelphia is evident everywhere, from its storied streets steeped in history to its burgeoning culinary scene that attracts gourmets and casual diners alike. With iconic landmarks like the Liberty Bell and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, this city presents an irresistible allure to those who thrive on diversity and energy. Here, you can indulge in rich traditions, contemporary arts, and even outdoor adventures that grasp the best of each season.
Experience a community where locals enjoy weekend farmers markets, candid street performances, and countless art festivals. Food lovers will appreciate everything from food trucks dishing out mouthwatering bites to acclaimed chefs producing innovative masterpieces in the kitchen. Professionals will also find a focus on quality of life, enjoying favorable taxation, affordable living, and a thriving healthcare system that supports career growth.
Whether you're stepping into the profession or are a seasoned clinician looking for your next big move, this vibrant city offers avenues for both personal and professional growth.
We are in search of a passionate Speech Language Pathologist, someone who isn't just focused on outcomes but is equally driven by empathy. You might see a shy child and envision a future bursting with possibilities, or hear the hesitant words of a stroke survivor filled with determination. Whether you're a specialist in pediatrics eager to explore adult avenues or a seasoned neuro-focused clinician wanting to enrich early interventions, we want to hear from you.
If you're ready to provide heartfelt service and lead with competence, we are excited to welcome you into our midst.
If you view speech as more than mere articulation, and therapy as more than a structured process if you believe in the importance of trust-building before programming, and that joy is just as vital as communication then this could be your new career adventure.
Join a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the bravery inherent in starting anew. Apply today to contribute your voice to our team and enable others to discover theirs.
