Research Coordinator EoE CRC Job Summary We are looking for a Study Coordinator to join the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Utah. The Coordinator will work with Principal Investigator Amiko Uchida, MD, and (potentially) another investigator on clinical research studies focused on allergic and inflammatory immune disorders of the GI tract, including eosinophilic GI diseases. The role will coordinate both technical and administrative aspects of the studies to ensure protocol integrity and successful completion. Key responsibilities include patient recruitment, informed consent, safety monitoring, data collection, and regulatory reporting. The position is full-time, predominantly in person, with limited remote work opportunities after discussion. The anticipated duration is 2 or more years. Responsibilities Attend investigator and staff meetings and advise the team regarding study assignments and timelines. Carry out all patient‑facing duties: recruit and screen patients, enroll them, monitor safety, and ensure timely, accurate sample collection. Explain and obtain informed consent, collect medical history and demographics, and maintain accurate documentation and progress notes. Document and track adverse events (AE), protocol deviations, and prepare summary reports as required. Complete, audit, and correct case report forms. Maintain documents in accordance with FDA guidelines. Maintain contact with the IRB and prepare and submit IRB documents as needed. Perform functions required of a Clinical Research Assistant as necessary. Coordinate daily operations of the assigned research team and maintain adequate resources for the PI. Minimum Qualifications Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (e.g., a bachelor’s degree equals 4 years of directly related experience). Preferred qualifications (clinical research coordinator II): Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) plus 4 years of directly related experience, or a master’s degree (or equivalency) plus 2 years of directly related experience.
