Assistant/Associate Dean Program Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement Location: Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), Newark, NJ Overview This newly developed role reports to the Executive Vice Dean and provides services across the medical education continuum, including faculty affairs. The Assistant/Associate Dean will oversee program development, data collection, and analysis to support the improvement of educational programs, resident and faculty development, and promotion of medical education scholarship at New Jersey Medical School. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of evaluation of the medical education program, including planning, data collection, compilation/analysis, interpretation, and preparation and dissemination of program evaluation data reports. Lead efforts to optimize survey and assessment systems for evaluating curricular elements and overall educational programs, supporting continuous quality improvement and monitoring the impact of curricular changes. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop a comprehensive learner assessment system to evaluate outcomes across the MD‑degree curriculum. Direct the continuous monitoring process for compliance with all twelve LCME accreditation standards and serve as a core member of the LCME preparation team. Lead initiatives to address identified areas of potential non‑compliance with LCME accreditation standards. Serve on the professional development team to promote and expand medical education scholarship, including applying for grants, presenting work nationally, and publishing scholarship. Actively participate in curriculum, student affairs, admissions, and faculty meetings as requested by the Executive Vice Dean. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience – A Ph.D. or Ed.D. with a focus in educational or psychological measurement. M.D. candidates with relevant experience are strongly considered and must maintain a level of clinical engagement. Previous Experience – Experience in program evaluation, preferably in academic or medical institutions. Rank Consideration – Depending on experience, the candidate may qualify for the Associate Dean rank. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Expertise in statistical and computer applications in educational assessment; knowledge of organizational behavior related to medical education entities (preferred); attention to detail, accuracy, and organization; demonstrated scholarship and/or support of grants. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $131,582 – $268,759 (salary offer based on qualifications, experience, and available funding).
